The McCormick Area Veterans Association (MAVA)

The McCormick Area Veterans Association (MAVA) is located in Savannah Lakes Village, SC, but also serves the area’s neighboring counties. Honorably discharged members from all service branches are welcome. There’s no rank in MAVA. As suggested by our motto, “Vets For Vets," our purpose is to promote fellowship & assistance among service veterans, immediate family members & survivors in our greater community. We’re also associated with the Long Cane NSDAR chapter.

Activities include:

  • Flag Retirement Ceremonies
  • Food Bank Donations
  • Guest Speakers
  • Home Assistance as abilities permit
  • Wreaths Across America – local cemeteries

Exhibit will be parked in the McCormick Food Lion Parking Lot

Vietnam Veterans are asked to consider spending a little time at the Exhibit when it moves in front of the McCormick County School Bldg. on Monday, April 29

General Information

General Information MAVA

Regular Meetings held the 3rd Tuesday each month at 1800 (6pm) in the Lutheran Church by the Lake “Ark” meeting room – 100 Twelve Oaks Dr., McCormick, SC 29835.

The church requests canned food items be donated at meetings for the local food bank.
