Here’s what we are looking for:

• Three or more years of construction/trade, building maintenance or electrical service and repair experience required.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, boat docks, or other structures.
• Ability to install and repair machines, wiring or electrical systems using the needed tools.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
• Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
• Ability to read and understand system schematics and plans.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of safety rules, regulations, and conduct as it applies to departmental equipment and working conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent with technical training preferred.
