Disaster Shelter Buildout Initiative

The Savannah Lakes Disaster Planning Task Force in partnership with the Lutheran Church By The Lake, and the American Red Cross are actively seeking volunteers to facilitate a Red Cross shelter during emergency situations.
 

How You Can Help: Be a Shelter Hero!

Volunteers play a crucial role in providing a safe and supportive shelter environment providing comfort and essential services when people need them most!

• Be available to volunteer and assist others in your community after a major disaster.
• Participate in Red Cross Training in roles to help people with emergency sheltering, meal delivery, and other essentials before, during, and after a disaster.

We invite you to join us for a training class being conducted at the Lutheran Church March 13th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Once completed, you will be a certified American Red Cross Shelter Hero.
